DIY fruity conditioner!


1 ripe banana (over-ripe is best)

1/2 avocado

1 tablespoon plain yogurt

10 drops Vitamin E oil


Cut up banana and avocado and blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth. Apply to hair from root to ends, make sure your ends are treated especially generously with this concoction. Put hair in shower cap and leave in hair for an hour or two. For a quicker deep conditioning go under the overhead dryer for 15 minutes.

Banana– is rich in Potassium, natural oils, carbohydrates and vitamins. This delicious fruit is great for hair and scalp. It improves the manageability and shine of the hair and it helps to prevent and control dandruff. Banana softens the hair and restores the hair’s natural elasticity; it helps to repair hair breakage.

Avocado–  rich in several vitamins, copper and potassium. It contains oleic acid which is a monounsaturated fat. The avocado will strengthen hair and make it soft and silky.

Vitamin E Oil– helps to increase the flow of blood on your scalp which in turn helps stimulate the hair follicles, making them produce hair faster and hold on to your existing hair with a tighter grip.

Yogurt– can soften dull hair and add life and bounce to it. Yogurt is treasure-trove of enriching elements like zinc, calcium, lactic acid, Vitamins B1, B2, B-6 and B-12, protein, and yeast.
